JOALI Maldives promotes Ali Zubair as Director of Food and Beverage

JOALI Maldives has announced the promotion of Ali Zubair as Director of Food and Beverage.

With over 2 decades of experience in operations and food & beverage, Ali Zubair was promoted to the Director of Food and Beverage in JOALI Maldives on 1st March 2025. Hailing from the south of Maldives, he has worked for over 10 years in Four Seasons Maldives, in Four Seasons Kuda Huraa and Landaa Giraavaru in the Maldives as well as Four Seasons Bali Jimbaran Bay and Ubud in Indonesia, from a server to F&B caption. His journey began in JOALI Maldives in 2018, during the pre-opening phase as an outlet manager, eventually overseeing the five signature dining venues: Saoke, Bellinis, TUH’U, Vandhoo and Mura Bar operations, in-villa dining and destination dining of JOALI Maldives.

Additionally, as a task force member in 2023, he contributed to the successful opening of Bijal in Antalya, Turkey, owned by the parent company of JOALI, Gürok Group.

During his career, he has been educated in various aspects of food and beverage with international bodies such as WSET, Ecolab, HACCP, and Leading Quality Assurance. He has also had the privilege of visiting the culinary capitals, Italy and France, for training.
