Wieser will be overseeing the development and growth of the two resorts under the Lily portfolio. Lily Beach Resort & Spa is an award-winning resort that made history as the first all-inclusive resort in the Maldives, pioneering the concept of premium all-inclusive luxury at the destination. Continuously leading in innovation and new ideas, the resort redefines the guest experience with exceptional dining, world-class entertainment, and curated adventures, ensuring an unparalleled five-star stay. Meanwhile, Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa stands out as an award-winning, all-natural island renowned for its unique double house reef, which offers some of the best diving and snorkelling in the Maldives. With spacious luxury villas, lush tropical vegetation, a litany of experiences above and underwater, and unmatched privacy, Hideaway provides an idyllic sanctuary for travellers seeking both adventure and tranquillity.

Speaking from Hideaway, Wieser said: “I am extremely glad to return to Lily Hotels and the Maldives, leading the resorts alongside our dedicated team and rejoining an organisation that has always been close to my heart”. He continued, “Our focus will be on strengthening our presence in key international markets, ensuring our resorts continue to set benchmarks in luxury, service excellence, and guest satisfaction.”

Acknowledging the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Wieser emphasised the industry’s resilience and the importance of adapting to a post-pandemic world. “The hospitality and tourism industry has learned invaluable lessons from this period. We will apply these best practices to navigate the evolving landscape and continue delivering personalised service that exceeds guest expectations.”
