Stephane Vogel has been appointed Area General Manager at Kimpton Monaco and Kimpton George in Washington

Stephane Vogel has been appointed Area General Manager for Kimpton Hotel Monaco DC and Kimpton George in Washington, D.C. He brings more than 20 years of luxury hotel experience and a people-focused leadership approach to building inclusive and collaborative teams.

Born and raised in Switzerland, Stephane graduated Magna Cum Laude with Bachelor of Business and Administration in Hotel Management from Les Roches, one of the world's leading hospitality schools. He started his hospitality career in Washington DC, swiftly rising through the ranks as Assistant Front Office Manager at Grand Hyatt Washington to General Manager of the former Kimpton Donovan in Dupont Circle. During his continued tenure as General Manager, Stephane oversaw the operations of several National Capital Region properties, including the Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa, the Royal Sonesta Washington DC and Hotel Washington.

In this new role, Stephane will oversee the operations and management of the two properties near DC's top tourist attractions, Kimpton Hotel Monaco DC, a National Historic Landmark building in Penn Quarter, and the Kimpton George, located in Capitol Hill capturing the congressional set. An enthusiastic, solutions-oriented leader, Stephane brings a wealth of experience in luxury hotel and restaurant operations with a proven track record of driving guest satisfaction and financial performance while capitalizing on opportunities to drive revenue. He will work together with the on-property teams to drive hotel performance and growth.
