WOODBRIDGE, Suffolk, May 27, 2026 — The Crown in Woodbridge has launched a new Saturday evening dinner promotion offering two courses and a drink for £24.50 per person, running from 6pm to 9pm each Saturday, as the town centre hotel restaurant introduces a refreshed menu built around classic comfort food and casual British and European favourites.

The offer is designed to position The Crown as a straightforward value destination in the heart of Woodbridge for date nights, informal dinners, and weekend meals out, with a menu and price point intended to appeal across a broad range of guests rather than a specialist dining audience.

The launch accompanies a wider refresh of The Crown's food and beverage programme, including a new weekday happy hour running from 3pm to 6pm across selected beers, wines, cocktails, and mocktails.

What the Crown Woodbridge Saturday Dinner Deal Includes

The Saturday dinner offer covers two courses from the new dinner menu alongside a choice of drink: a medium glass of house wine, a pint of Adnams Southwold Bitter, a pint of Cruzcampo, or any soft drink from the bar. The combination brings together two of Suffolk's most recognisable food and drink associations, Adnams, the Southwold-based brewery deeply embedded in the county's hospitality culture, and a locally anchored menu built around Suffolk produce.

The starter selection includes buttermilk chicken tenders with buffalo sauce, salt and pepper squid, vegan cheese bon bons, chorizo patatas bravas, and parmesan truffle fries, a range that covers sharing-plate formats alongside individual starters and caters to meat-eating and vegan guests within the same menu.

Main courses centre on the Crown Signature Burger, made using top round and short rib patties, alongside monkfish Thai yellow curry, Suffolk pork chop with mustard and Suffolk cyder sauce, chorizo and red pepper linguine, risotto primavera, and Adnams battered fish and chips. The Suffolk pork chop and the fish and chips both carry local provenance explicitly into the menu description, anchoring the offer in its county identity.

Desserts include a double chocolate brownie with salted caramel ice cream, a Cointreau-infused dark chocolate bread and butter pudding, and upside-down pineapple cake with toffee sauce.

The Crown's Approach to the Woodbridge Dining Market

"We wanted to create menus that feel welcoming, relaxed and full of dishes people genuinely want to eat, whether that's a casual lunch, drinks and sharing plates with friends, or a Saturday evening date night," said Josh Williams, hotel manager at The Crown at Woodbridge. "The new Saturday dinner offer is all about giving people the chance to enjoy a great meal and drinks in a lovely setting at really good value, right in the heart of Woodbridge."

The framing reflects a positioning decision made by many UK town centre restaurants in 2026, placing accessible price points and familiar comfort-food formats at the centre of their offer rather than pursuing a more premium or niche culinary direction. With dining out costs continuing to sit higher than pre-2022 levels across the UK, offers that bring the per-head spend clearly below £25 for a two-course meal with a drink carry practical appeal for local residents making regular rather than occasional dining decisions.

Weekday Happy Hour Complements the Saturday Offer

The weekday happy hour, running Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm, extends The Crown's value-led approach beyond the weekend dining promotion. The format covers selected beers, wines, cocktails, and mocktails, targeting the post-work and late-afternoon visitor alongside the weekend dinner guest.

Together the two programmes give The Crown at Woodbridge a weekly value offer that spans multiple dayparts and customer occasions, from mid-afternoon drinks through to weekend evening dining, a broader hospitality strategy than a single promotional menu alone would deliver.

The Saturday dinner promotion runs from 6pm to 9pm each Saturday at The Crown, Woodbridge. Reservations are recommended.
