Alex van Someren Named Executive Chair
Technology entrepreneur and investor Alex van Someren has been appointed Executive Chair of the board. He previously led early investment in Photonic and brings extensive experience in venture capital, cybersecurity technology, and strategic leadership. His appointment is expected to help guide the company as it scales its quantum computing capabilities and commercial strategy.
Four Directors Join the Board
Joining the board alongside van Someren are:
- Don Mattrick, who will serve as Vice Chair and brings senior leadership experience from global technology companies.
- Nathan Medlock, Managing Partner at Planet First Partners and a key investor in Photonic’s latest funding round.
- Ashton Scordo, Managing Director at British Columbia Investment Management Corporation.
