With a career spanning over 30 years across India and the Middle East, Bagwan brings deep expertise and a visionary approach to guide the property as it establishes itself as Bengaluru’s preferred destination for long-stay travellers.
A Legacy of Leadership in Hospitality
Wajeed Bagwan has held leadership roles with some of the world’s most renowned hospitality brands, including Taj Hotels, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, The Leela Group, Radisson Hotels & Resorts, and Oakwood Worldwide Inc. He has played a key role in the pre-opening and successful launch of award-winning hotels in Dubai, bringing a unique blend of operational excellence and guest-centric service.
Of special significance is his earlier role as General Manager of Oakwood Bangalore, the very property that has now been rebranded as Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City — making his return to the property both personal and professionally meaningful.
Education and Industry Contributions
Bagwan is an alumnus of the prestigious General Manager’s Program at Cornell University, and has made substantial contributions to the hospitality industry at large. His experience includes serving as team leader and assessor for the Dubai Quality Award and the Dubai Human Development Award, in collaboration with the Government of Dubai’s Department of Economic Development.
