Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort has announced the appointment of Gopal Singh as Financial Controller, effective May 20, 2026. Bringing more than 15 years of experience in hospitality finance and accounting, Singh joins the resort’s leadership team to oversee financial operations, compliance, budgeting, and commercial performance while supporting the property's operational objectives.

Before joining Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort, Singh served as Unit Financial Controller at Storii by ITC Dharamshala. His appointment further strengthens the resort’s finance leadership with extensive experience across leading hospitality brands.

More Than 15 Years of Hospitality Finance Experience

Gopal Singh brings over 15 years of professional experience across hospitality finance and accounting. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in financial operations, budgeting, compliance, internal controls, commercial strategy, and process optimisation.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Unit Financial Controller at Storii by ITC Dharamshala, where he was responsible for overseeing finance functions and supporting operational performance through effective financial planning and reporting.

Career Across Leading Hospitality Brands

Before joining Storii by ITC Dharamshala, Singh held finance leadership positions at several Hyatt properties, including Hyatt Hyderabad, Hyatt Centric New Delhi, and Hyatt Regency Lucknow. During these assignments, he gained experience in financial planning, hotel performance management, operational controls, and business process improvement.

His professional journey also includes tenures with Hilton Garden Inn New Delhi and JW Marriott New Delhi, further broadening his exposure to financial management across international hospitality brands.

Academic Background and Professional Expertise

Gopal Singh holds an MBA in Finance from Sikkim Manipal University, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Himachal Pradesh University, and an Industrial Accountant Diploma from the Institute of Computer Accounts. His academic qualifications complement his practical experience across finance, accounting, and commercial operations within the hospitality sector.

His expertise spans financial reporting, compliance management, budgeting, internal controls, and strategic financial planning, supporting operational efficiency and business performance.
