CHENNAI, Tamil Nadu — Welcomhotel by ITC GST Road Chennai has appointed Sakthi Vel as Head of Sales and Marketing, placing a 13-year hospitality sales professional in charge of the hotel's commercial and revenue strategy.
Sakthi Vel joins from Radisson Atria Bengaluru, where he served as Director of Sales.
Sakthi Vel Brings 13 Years of Sales Experience to Welcomhotel Chennai
Before Radisson Atria Bengaluru, Vel spent over a decade with Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Limited, where he held roles including Territory Manager and Sales Executive across sales operations and customer engagement.
His background spans sales, marketing, revenue management and business development across the Indian hospitality market.
New Role Covers Sales, Marketing and Revenue Strategy
In his new position, Vel will oversee the hotel's sales and marketing functions, including public relations and revenue strategy, with a focus on sales planning and market development.
