Corinthia Hotels has announced the appointment of Mohammed Wazir as General Manager of Corinthia Gewan Island Qatar, a landmark luxury project scheduled to open in early 2027. During his career, he has led several prominent properties such as Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, and Our Habitas Ras Abrouq in Qatar. In these roles, he was credited with enhancing guest experiences, strengthening brand positioning, and delivering strong commercial performance.

Returning to the Corinthia Brand

This appointment marks a return to the Corinthia brand for Wazir, who previously held operational leadership roles across multiple Corinthia properties. Earlier in his career, he played a key role in the opening of Corinthia London as Executive Assistant Manager, helping establish the hotel’s operational culture and service philosophy.
