Hagop Tchaparian Begins Role as Hotel Manager at Marriott Hotel Downtown Abu Dhabi

Marriott Hotel Downtown Abu Dhabi is delighted to announce the appointment of Hagop Tchaparian as the new Hotel Manager for both Marriott Hotel Downtown Abu Dhabi and Marriott Executive Apartments. In this pivotal role, Hagop will oversee the day-to-day operations of both properties, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational excellence.

Over 20 Years of Hospitality Leadership in the Middle East

With more than two decades of experience across the Middle East hospitality sector, Hagop brings a strong commercial background in sales, marketing, and leadership. He has previously served as Director of Sales & Marketing for notable properties including:

• The Abu Dhabi EDITION

• Marriott Hotel Downtown Abu Dhabi

• Marriott Executive Apartments

Before these roles, Hagop held senior commercial positions at Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai, Marriott Al Jaddaf & Marriott Executive Apartments Al Jaddaf Dubai, and The Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites.

Proven Track Record as Interim Hotel Manager

Hagop recently served as Interim Hotel Manager for five months, where he worked closely with teams across departments, strengthening collaboration and supporting daily operations. His hands-on leadership and operational expertise have been instrumental in maintaining seamless service standards during a critical period.

Outside of his professional achievements, Hagop enjoys a balanced life with his wife Caroline and daughter Rea. An enthusiast of horseback riding and the occasional fine cigar, he values tradition and leisure — qualities that reflect his grounded and personable approach.
