Courtyard by Marriott Pune Hinjewadi has announced the appointment of Mayur S. Modak as Chief Engineer, bringing over 15 years of diverse experience across hospitality, infrastructure, retail malls, and the chemical industry.
In his new role, Modak will oversee the overall engineering operations of the hotel, ensuring the efficient performance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire safety, and water treatment systems.
He will lead the engineering team with a strong focus on preventive maintenance, sustainability initiatives, energy conservation, regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.
Prior to joining Courtyard by Marriott Pune Hinjewadi, Modak served as Chief Engineer at Fariyas Resort Lonavala and previously held the same position at Courtyard by Marriott Ahmedabad.
His extensive career also includes key engineering leadership roles at The Orchid Hotel Pune, Renaissance Lucknow Hotel, JW Marriott Hotel Pune, Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, and JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu.
Throughout his professional journey, Modak has successfully led several pre-opening engineering projects, implemented cost-optimization strategies, strengthened preventive maintenance systems, and driven impactful energy-saving initiatives.
His expertise in operational efficiency, team leadership, and sustainable engineering practices aligns strongly with the global standards of Marriott International.
