Raleigh, North Carolina – June 20, 2025: A key piece of Raleigh’s downtown history is getting a modern makeover. The long-abandoned Seaboard Depot, a historic rail station originally built in the early 20th century, will soon be transformed into a boutique lifestyle hotel.
Local developers have partnered with hospitality brand operators to turn the former train depot into a vibrant hospitality destination that merges heritage architecture with modern amenities. The project, which has received city approval, is expected to begin construction in early 2026 and open in late 2027.
