SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 9, 2026 — Bandai Namco Entertainment America today announced ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet, a restaurant management simulation game set within the world of the globally popular ONE PIECE anime and manga franchise. The title launches on October 23, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam and mobile platforms, putting players in charge of a floating restaurant crewed by the Straw Hat pirates.

The announcement introduces a new genre entry for the ONE PIECE game library. Where previous titles have centred on combat and exploration, Grand Gourmet focuses entirely on culinary management designing a restaurant, cooking dishes, sourcing ingredients and keeping a cast of more than 400 franchise characters satisfied at the table.

Players Run the Baratie Number Two With Sanji at the Stove

The game's central premise places players aboard the Baratie Number Two, a floating platform on the open seas that serves as both home base and restaurant. Working alongside Sanji, the Straw Hat Crew's cook and one of the most recognisable culinary characters in anime, players develop menus, gather ingredients and manage the day-to-day operations of a seafaring dining room.

The menu draws from ONE PIECE lore, with dishes including Water-Water Meat BBQ and Sea King Penne Gorgonzola appearing alongside special creations inspired by the powers of Devil Fruits the mysterious fruits in the series that grant their eaters superhuman abilities. Players work with Sanji to develop recipes, combine ingredients and build set menus that attract different characters to the restaurant.

Interior decoration plays a significant role in the experience. More than 200 decorative items are available, spanning themes drawn from iconic locations across the ONE PIECE world Whole Cake Island dessert pieces, futuristic Egghead items and more. The game links décor choices directly to customer behaviour: characters who appreciate the restaurant's design may return as regulars.

More Than 400 Characters Appear in a New Pixel Art Style

Grand Gourmet presents the entire ONE PIECE cast in a pixel art style that has not previously appeared in any game in the franchise. Bandai Namco describes the visual approach as spritely, giving familiar faces a new look while retaining the character design language fans recognise from the manga and anime.

The roster spans allies and antagonists. Characters from across the series' lengthy run appear as both staff members and customers, and the game includes exclusive character events and interactions written specifically for this title content unavailable in any other ONE PIECE game.

The breadth of the character roster places Grand Gourmet among the most comprehensive ONE PIECE games yet produced in terms of franchise representation, and gives the title potential appeal beyond the management sim audience to fans primarily interested in the characters rather than the gameplay format.

A Hospitality-Themed Game in a Growing Anime Genre

The management simulation genre has seen sustained growth in recent years, with titles that blend character-driven storytelling with operational gameplay gaining traction across console, PC and mobile markets. ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet follows a trend of major anime franchises entering the genre, applying one of manga's largest and most enduring intellectual properties to a format with broad accessibility.

Pre-orders are open now across Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, the App Store and Google Play. The food and hospitality themes at the heart of the game mirror the real-world culinary traditions of the regions that inform ONE PIECE's world-building — for those interested in exploring those traditions, HCP Good Food's Japanese recipes collection offers a useful reference point. Further details on the game are available at Bandai Namco's official ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet page.
