Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa has appointed Binay Patnaik as Finance Controller, reinforcing its financial leadership framework. He joins after contributing to the property’s pre-opening phase and brings experience in financial operations, compliance, and cost management within the hospitality sector.

Binay Patnaik as Finance Controller as Hilton Hyderabad 

Binay Patnaik will lead the resort’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll management, taxation, and internal audits. His mandate also includes ensuring compliance with Hilton’s global financial standards and supporting operational performance through disciplined financial planning.

The appointment aligns with the hotel’s focus on maintaining financial control systems and strengthening governance structures in a competitive hospitality environment.

Role in Pre-Opening Financial Setup

Binay Patnaik was part of the resort’s pre-opening team, where he played a central role in establishing the financial infrastructure. His responsibilities included setting up accounting systems, integrating property management and point-of-sale platforms, and managing statutory registrations.

He also contributed to compliance readiness, ensuring financial systems were aligned with operational requirements before the hotel’s opening phase.

Previous Experience Across Hyatt Properties

Prior to joining Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley, Patnaik worked with Park Hyatt Hyderabad and Hyatt Place Hampi, gaining experience across multiple finance functions.

At Hyatt Place Hampi, he served as Finance Manager and Head of Department. His responsibilities included managing month-end closing, payroll processing, and internal audits, while collaborating with department heads on budgeting and cost control.

During his tenure at Park Hyatt Hyderabad as Taxation Manager, he handled financial statements, tax audits, and MIS reporting. He also contributed to process improvements, including income audit automation and GST system integration.

Financial Expertise and Operational Alignment at Hilton 

A trained management accountant, Patnaik brings a structured approach to financial management, focusing on aligning financial discipline with operational efficiency. His experience spans compliance management, reporting frameworks, and financial planning within hotel environments.

His role will involve supporting the resort’s financial strategy while ensuring accuracy in reporting and adherence to regulatory requirements.
