ST ANDREWS, Scotland — Joseph Rafael D'Souza has been appointed Food and Beverage Supervisor at Fairmont St Andrews. He joins the five-star resort with over five years of luxury hospitality experience across India and the United Kingdom.

D'Souza takes on the supervisory role at Fairmont St Andrews, a 209-room five-star resort on a 520-acre coastal estate. The property features six dining venues, two championship golf courses and an award-winning spa. He supports F&B service standards, team operations and guest dining experiences across the resort's outlets.
Career Across Goa Marriott, Grand Hyatt and JW Marriott London
D'Souza began his hospitality career at Goa Marriott Resort and Spa. He spent over two years there as a Food and Beverage Guest Service Associate. His work covered the Azur Bar and Lounge and poolside operations across multiple outlets.
He then moved to Grand Hyatt Goa as Food and Beverage Supervisor. In that role, he led service teams across high-volume restaurant outlets. It was his first leadership experience in a luxury hotel environment.
While completing his postgraduate studies in London, D'Souza worked at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London. He served as a Food and Beverage Expert on a part-time basis. That posting added a London flagship five-star hotel to his operational experience.
Academic Background in Hotel Management and Luxury Hospitality
D'Souza holds a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and Catering Science from Bharathiar University. He recently completed a Master's degree in Luxury Hospitality Management from the University of West London. He graduated with a Merit grade.
That combination of operational experience and postgraduate management education gives him a strong foundation. It is an uncommon mix to bring to a supervisory role at this stage of a career.
