ADELAIDE, May 19, 2026 — TFE Hotels has appointed Nicole Richards as General Manager of Adina Adelaide Treasury, with the hospitality veteran set to commence the role in mid-June 2026. Richards joins the heritage property from Mount Lofty House & Estate in South Australia, where she served as General Manager.
The appointment adds a senior leader with a strong record in luxury accommodation to one of Adelaide's most distinctive properties — a heritage-listed former Treasury Building on Victoria Square in the heart of the city's CBD.
Nicole Richards Brings Award-Winning Record to Adina Adelaide Treasury
During her tenure at Mount Lofty House & Estate, Nicole Richards led the property to several industry milestones. The estate took out the AHA SA Overall Hotel of the Year award for three consecutive years and held a 97% guest satisfaction rating.
In 2025, Mount Lofty House & Estate was recognised by Tripadvisor as the number one Luxury Hotel in Australia and the South Pacific — a distinction that underscores the level of operational performance Richards delivered throughout her leadership.
Her progression through the business was broad, spanning roles as Executive Assistant Manager, Rooms Division Manager, and Revenue and Reservations Manager before stepping into the general management position. Earlier in her career, Richards held revenue and commercial roles in both Adelaide and Alice Springs.
Commercial and Operational Background
Nicole Richards holds a Bachelor of Applied Hospitality and Tourism Management and graduated from Pacific International Hotel Management School (PIHMS) in 2011. Her academic background complements the commercial and operational disciplines she built across more than a decade of senior hotel roles in South Australia.
The mix of revenue management experience and operational leadership positions Richards to oversee both the guest experience and commercial performance of Adina Adelaide Treasury, a 4.5-star apartment hotel known for its Italian-appointed interiors and Australian artwork.
TFE Hotels Continues Portfolio Growth Across Australia
The appointment reflects TFE Hotels' broader momentum as it expands its network of brands. The group currently operates around 80 hotels across Australia, New Zealand and Europe under seven brands, including A by Adina, Adina Hotels, Vibe Hotels, Quincy Hotels, Travelodge Hotels, Rendezvous Hotels and Collection by TFE Hotels.
Recent activity across the group includes the opening of Adina Chermside Brisbane in April 2026, a planned Adina Hobart debut, and TFE Hotels' first entry into the United Kingdom market with two Adina properties in Cambridge and Glasgow.
Adina Adelaide Treasury sits within the Adina Hotels brand, which operates across 32 locations in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The Adelaide property occupies a converted colonial-era building and draws guests with its indoor pool, restaurant, garden terrace and proximity to Adelaide Central Market and the city's arts and cultural precinct.
