Venkateshwar Rao comes to Chennai from Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad, where he served as Director of Sales & Marketing. His time there involved leading commercial operations, growing the property's inventory of accounts and delivering revenue growth consistently — the kind of performance record that makes a lateral move to a larger Hyatt Regency property a natural next step.

Before Ahmedabad, Rao held key sales leadership roles at Hyatt Place Hyderabad Banjara Hills and Hyatt Pune.
