Mercure Lucknow Gomti Nagar has announced the appointment of Mohammad Akamal as its new Chief Engineer, effective 24 November 2025.

With over a decade of extensive experience in hotel engineering and facility management, Mohammad Akamal brings strong technical expertise and hands-on leadership to his new role. His professional strengths include electrical maintenance, energy management, sustainability initiatives, and managing large-scale hotel operations.

During his career, Akamal has worked with several renowned hospitality brands, including Taj Hotel Ganges Varanasi, Holiday Inn Express, Hyatt, and the Saran Group. Across these assignments, he played a key role in ensuring operational excellence, infrastructure reliability, and the highest standards of guest safety.

At Mercure Lucknow Gomti Nagar, Mohammad Akamal will oversee all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring optimal functionality of the hotel’s infrastructure. His responsibilities will include maintaining high standards of safety, operational efficiency, and sustainability in line with Mercure and Accor brand benchmarks.
