The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has identified the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai as the most significant international tourism fair for Maldives this year, according to MMPRC Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree.

In an interview with state broadcaster PSM, Shiuree stated that the ATM is one of the largest global tourism events and is the primary focus for the MMPRC in 2025.

Shiuree noted that some promotional activities previously carried out at other fairs, including ITB, will now take place at the ATM. These include the Maldivian Night, an event traditionally hosted at ITB, which will now be held during the ATM based on industry feedback.

“We are working closely with all industry stakeholders, considering their advice and input,” Shiuree said.

He added that the objective of MMPRC’s participation at the ATM is to promote Maldives tourism and generate benefits for the country.

According to event organisers, the ATM will see participation from over 46,000 professionals representing more than 160 countries. This includes a significant number of travel bloggers and media representatives.

This year, the Maldives will be represented by 111 exhibitors with 230 participants. Shiuree expressed the expectation that the ATM will support the growth of tourism in the Maldives.
