Tokyo's Good Spoon offers all-you-can-eat cheese at lunch
All-you-can-eat cheese in Tokyo comes with every lunch dish at Good Spoon's Lumine Shinjuku pizzeria, where the cheese is made in-store. Read the full story.
TOKYO, June 19, 2026 — Good Spoon, a Tokyo pizzeria that makes its own cheese, offers all-you-can-eat fresh cheese with its lunch dishes at its Lumine Shinjuku branch, a deal that draws weekend queues. The restaurant produces the cheese in an in-store workshop, which it says helps keep the buffet affordable.
All-you-can-eat cheese is uncommon in Japan, where even a small block can cost more than 1,000 yen. Good Spoon can offer the buffet because it makes the cheese on site rather than buying it in.
The Lumine Shinjuku branch is one of the chain's busiest, and staff manage entry through a queue at peak weekend hours.

On weekends and public holidays, every lunch dish at the Lumine Shinjuku branch comes with the cheese buffet and a soup bar at no extra charge. On weekdays, guests can add the same buffet to a lunch dish for 968 yen (about US$6).
The buffet features a rotating selection of house-made fresh cheeses, which on a recent visit included mozzarella, mascarpone, stracciatella and fromage blanc. Condiments such as honey, salt, pepper and olive oil are set out for guests to pair with the cheese.
Signature King's Bolognese tops the menu
Good Spoon's best-known dish is the King's Bolognese, priced at 3,157 yen (about US$20) on the weekend lunch menu. It arrives topped with a whole burrata that staff cut open to release the soft cheese over the meat sauce.
Other mains include a wagyu cheese hamburg steak, wagyu steak, cheese carbonara and pizzas, each available with the cheese buffet on the weekend lunch menu.
Visiting Good Spoon at Lumine Shinjuku
The restaurant sits on the seventh floor of Lumine 1 at Nishishinjuku 1-1-5, a one-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. It opens daily from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and closes only when the Lumine building closes.
A SoraNews24 reviewer who visited reported a 90-minute limit on the buffet and singled out the stracciatella, served with honey and black pepper, as the standout.
Menu and booking details are on the Good Spoon Lumine Shinjuku page and its weekend lunch menu.
