SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah, May 30, 2026 — Dave's Hot Chicken, the Los Angeles-born fast-casual chain built around Nashville-style spiced chicken, opened its first Saratoga Springs location on April 17, 2026, at 119 E Crossroads Blvd, giving Utah County residents direct access to one of the country's fastest-growing fried chicken brands.
The opening marks a shift in the dining options available along Crossroads Boulevard, a commercial corridor in Saratoga Springs that has drawn a wave of national and regional restaurant brands in 2026. Dave's Hot Chicken is among the most recognized names to arrive, carrying a following built across more than 400 locations worldwide.
Dave's Hot Chicken Saratoga Springs Joins Eight-State Opening Day
The Saratoga Springs restaurant was one of eight Dave's Hot Chicken locations that opened simultaneously on April 17, 2026, across eight states. The single-day opening spanned markets in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina and Utah.
"Opening eight restaurants in one week is a testament to the strength of our system and the commitment of our franchise partners," said Jim Bitticks, Chief Executive Officer of Dave's Hot Chicken. "As we continue to grow, our focus remains on executing at a high level and making sure every restaurant delivers the same experience our guests expect."
The Saratoga Springs site plan received approval from the city's Planning Commission on September 25, 2025. A permanent sign permit followed in February 2026, with interior construction completed ahead of the April opening. The location is operated by Zuvachs LLC, a franchise group that has run Smashburger locations across Utah since 2019 and holds a multi-unit development agreement to expand further across the Salt Lake Valley.
Nashville-Style Menu Anchored by Heat Scale and Halal Certification
Dave's Hot Chicken built its identity on a straightforward menu of tenders, sliders and bites, all centered on Nashville-style preparation, chicken coated in a spiced cayenne paste and fried to order. The heat scale runs from "No Spice" through seven ascending levels, ending at "Reaper," named for the Carolina Reaper pepper.
All chicken served at Dave's locations, including the Saratoga Springs restaurant, carries Halal certification. The menu also includes sliders built on soft potato buns with pickles, kale slaw and the chain's signature sauce, as well as combo meals and group-sized portions. The restaurant operates daily from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and offers delivery through third-party platforms.
Nashville-style hot chicken traces its roots to Prince's Hot Chicken Shack in Nashville, Tennessee, where the dish developed as a local tradition before spreading nationally through chains and independent restaurants over the past decade.
Saratoga Springs Sees Broader Commercial Wave in 2026
The Dave's Hot Chicken opening is one of several commercial arrivals reshaping Saratoga Springs this year. City planning records from the May 2026 Report on Active Projects show construction or approved permits for a range of food, retail and healthcare businesses across the Crossroads Boulevard and Redwood Road corridors.
Among the restaurants either open or under construction are Smashburger, also operated by Zuvachs LLC at Steele Ridge Plaza; Fazoli's, an Italian fast-casual brand known for unlimited breadsticks; Holy Tacos; and Bombay Palace, an Indian cuisine concept at The Crossings development. An In-N-Out Burger at 104 W Redwood Road received unanimous City Council approval on April 1, 2026, though no opening date has been announced.
Community observers and local real estate professionals have attributed the commercial surge to population growth in residential developments across the city's northern and western edges, which pushed Saratoga Springs past a density threshold that national brands require before committing to new locations.
Dave's Hot Chicken in Saratoga Springs is located at 119 E Crossroads Blvd and is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more on the chain's expansion, visit daveshotchicken.com.
