BIRMINGHAM, Mich., June 16, 2026 — Metro Detroit chef Luciano DelSignore is opening e Fiori, a new Birmingham concept that pairs an Italian restaurant with a European-style floral and gift shop, on Wednesday, June 17. The venue takes its name from the Italian for "and flowers."

e Fiori operates as a "bottega" in Italian tradition, the studio or workshop of a major artist that may also house other artists which its team bills as a first for Birmingham. It occupies the roughly 7,000-square-foot space at 115 Willits St. that previously held Mare Mediterranean.

Inside the e Fiori restaurant and floral concept

DelSignore draws menu inspiration from Italy's 20 regions, leaning on techniques he honed training in Abruzzo, Italy. Handmade pasta and sourdough bread are made daily in the Abruzzese tradition.

Sharing the space is floral designer Darin Lenhardt's handcrafted shop, called the Shoppe, where guests can browse European-style cut stems, seasonal bouquets and gift items alongside the dining room.

A familiar name in metro Detroit dining

DelSignore is well known for Bacco Ristorante, which closed in 2024 after 20 years, and he also owns the nearby Birmingham bistro Casa Pernoi. He runs Bigalora Wood-Fired Cucina, with four metro Detroit locations, and is a James Beard Award nominee.

He is opening e Fiori with Nicole Antakli DelSignore under the couple's Abruzzese Hospitality group. Birmingham city commissioners approved the ownership change for the site in 2025.
