DUBAI, June 4, 2026 — Deliveroo UAE has launched Deliveroo Reservations, a new in-app feature built on SevenRooms technology, giving diners in Dubai the ability to browse and book restaurant tables directly within the Deliveroo platform for the first time.

The move positions Deliveroo as more than a food delivery app, transforming it into a full-service dining destination that connects consumers with restaurants across both delivery and dine-in occasions all from a single interface.

Deliveroo UAE Restaurant Reservations Expand the Platform's Reach

The new Deliveroo UAE restaurant reservations feature taps into SevenRooms' widely used reservation and guest management system, which serves more than 13,000 venues globally. The integration brings real-time table availability, instant booking confirmations and automatic cancellation updates directly into the Deliveroo app.

For restaurants, the partnership unlocks a new layer of visibility. Eateries listed on Deliveroo can now surface their dine-in availability to an existing base of engaged app users who may not have otherwise discovered them through traditional booking channels.

Nick Price, General Manager at Deliveroo Middle East, said the launch reflects a deliberate effort to support the broader health of the UAE hospitality sector.

"By expanding beyond delivery and into the dine-out space, we are creating new opportunities for our restaurant partners to drive in-store sales, optimise table occupancy, and connect with new audiences."

Price added that the integrated approach allows restaurants to engage customers across both dine-in and delivery occasions, strengthening their visibility and long-term resilience in a competitive market.

SevenRooms Technology Drives the Dine-In Integration

SevenRooms, founded in 2011, provides CRM, marketing and operations tools designed to help restaurants grow revenue and deepen guest relationships. Its product suite covers reservations, waitlist management, review aggregation, email and text marketing, and, most recently, Voice AI for automating inbound calls.

The Deliveroo integration connects reservation data directly to SevenRooms' backend, meaning availability, bookings and cancellations sync instantly without any manual input from restaurant staff. That operational efficiency is a key selling point for high-volume Dubai venues managing large daily covers.

Joel Montaniel, VP and Head of SevenRooms and Co-founder, said the partnership opens a meaningful new growth channel for restaurant operators.

DoorDash Acquisition Sets the Stage for Cross-Platform Product Builds

The launch carries broader strategic weight. DoorDash completed its acquisition of both Deliveroo and SevenRooms in 2025, and this reservation feature marks the first significant product integration across the two businesses since that deal closed.

It signals that DoorDash intends to leverage the combined assets of its acquisitions to build more integrated hospitality tools, particularly across markets where Deliveroo has an established consumer presence. The UAE and Dubai specifically serves as the debut market for the feature.

Deliveroo says further expansion across the UAE is planned, though the company has not confirmed a specific timeline for additional cities. Readers looking for a broader overview of restaurant technology trends can explore resources on BBC Good Food.

What the Feature Means for Dubai Diners

For consumers, Deliveroo Reservations means one less app to manage. Dubai residents already using Deliveroo for food delivery can now search for restaurants, check real-time availability and confirm bookings without switching platforms or creating separate accounts on standalone reservation services.

The curated selection of participating restaurants currently skews toward some of the city's more sought-after dining destinations, though Deliveroo has not publicly disclosed the full roster of launch partners. The company says the list will grow as the service scales.

This development fits a wider pattern in the food-tech sector, where delivery-first platforms are broadening their value proposition to capture more of the overall dining spend not just the portion that travels in a bag.
