Pasta Evangelists Opens Three New Restaurants in London and Winchester
Pasta Evangelists restaurant expansion brings three new UK sites to Shoreditch, Soho and Winchester this summer. Read the full details here.
LONDON, June 4, 2026 — Pasta Evangelists, the UK's leading artisan pasta brand, announces plans to open three new restaurants this summer across London and Winchester, bringing its total UK estate to 14 locations.
The expansion adds sites in Shoreditch and Soho to the brand's growing London footprint and delivers a flagship regional venue in Winchester its largest restaurant to date. The openings mark the next phase of a national growth strategy backed by Italian food giant Barilla Group, which acquired the brand in 2021.
Pasta Evangelists Restaurant Expansion Targets Shoreditch, Soho and Winchester
The first new location opens in July at 121 Bethnal Green Road in Shoreditch. Designers drew inspiration from Palermo, fitting the space with Arabesque washbasins that reference Sicily's 400-year Moorish heritage and a series of hidden details for guests to discover throughout the restaurant.
A second London opening follows at 68–70 Wardour Street in Soho, scheduled for July or August. The site builds on demand created by the brand's nearby New Oxford Street restaurant, extending Pasta Evangelists' presence into one of central London's busiest entertainment and dining corridors.
Outside the capital, the brand opens at 9–11 High Street in Winchester in July. The venue seats 131 covers, making it the largest in the Pasta Evangelists portfolio, and hosts five pasta-making events each week. Winchester becomes the brand's second regional location alongside its existing restaurant in Guildford.
All Three Sites Showcase Refreshed Design and Pasta-Making Experiences
Each of the three new restaurants will feature Pasta Evangelists' updated interior design concept, which places equal weight on aesthetics and experience. All sites offer dine-in service alongside the brand's pasta-making events, a format that has become central to its restaurant identity.
Co-founder Finn Lagun said the three locations each bring a distinct character to the expansion. "Each of these locations has its own distinct character and energy, and we can't wait to introduce our freshly made pasta and hands-on pasta-making experiences to a whole new wave of guests," Lagun said.
"Our restaurants have always been about more than a meal; they're about connection, craft and a genuine love of Italian food, and that's exactly what all three new sites will deliver," Lagun added.
From Delivery Startup to the UK's Second-Largest Pasta Restaurant Group
Pasta Evangelists launched as a delivery-only business before entering bricks-and-mortar dining in 2021 with an opening at the Harrods Dining Hall in Knightsbridge. Barilla Group one of the world's most prominent pasta manufacturers acquired the brand that same year, providing the financial platform for rapid restaurant growth.
The brand has since grown to 11 UK sites, and the three summer openings push the total to 14. The estate includes a flagship pasta bar at Harrods and a portfolio spanning central London neighborhoods including Chelsea, Farringdon, and New Oxford Street. Pasta Evangelists currently ranks as the UK's second-largest specialist pasta restaurant group, behind Coco di Mama.
The summer expansion fits into an even larger ambition. In August 2025, the company outlined plans to open 100 restaurants across the UK over the next five years, with Pasta Evangelists and its franchise partners committing more than £30 million toward new sites. The brand is actively seeking locations across southern England, the Midlands and Scotland.
Winchester Opening Signals Accelerating Regional Push
The Winchester site is particularly significant as a signal of the brand's regional intentions. With Guildford already established as the first out-of-London location, Winchester extends that footprint into the historic Hampshire city and its mix of resident, tourist and day-tripper audiences.
At 131 covers and five pasta-making events weekly, the Winchester venue is also the most operationally intensive restaurant in the portfolio. It positions the brand as a food destination capable of drawing diners to plan visits around a pasta-making experience rather than simply walk in for a meal.
With three new restaurants set to open before the end of summer 2026, Pasta Evangelists is moving faster than at any point in its history toward a national presence across the UK dining market.
