DUBAI, June 20, 2026 — ROOH by Priya, a modern Indian restaurant from Singapore-based chef Priya Joseph, has opened at Jewel of the Creek in Dubai. The restaurant overlooks Dubai Creek and serves Indian dishes shaped by global influences.
The opening adds a new Indian venue to one of Dubai's waterfront developments, in a market with a large and competitive Indian restaurant scene. ROOH, which the restaurant says translates to "soul," is built around Joseph's emphasis on familiar flavours presented in contemporary forms.

The menu draws on Indian culinary traditions while incorporating global elements, according to the restaurant. Signature creations include a Gajar Halwa Tart and a Kesari Brûlée, both reworkings of classic Indian desserts.
Joseph's cooking emphasises balance and ingredient integrity, the restaurant said, with techniques such as slow-cooked masalas and finishing spices added at the table. Pre-opening announcements described the concept as a shared-plates format with a tapas bar and cocktail programme.

Joseph is the chef de cuisine at Yarana, a modern Indian restaurant in Singapore known for Indian and Asian fusion. She has been named among Singapore's top women chefs and has worked across Indian, Southeast Asian, Mediterranean and European cuisines.
She trained earlier in her career at a fine-dining Italian restaurant in Singapore and works as an accredited culinary instructor. ROOH marks her entry into the Dubai market.

Jewel of the Creek is a mixed-use development along Deira Creek that combines residences, hospitality and retail. ROOH occupies a space with contemporary interiors and views of the water, suitable for both small gatherings and larger events, the restaurant said.
