Woodside Inn Bazaar Binge Beer & Burger Festival Brings Global Markets to India
Each burger and sandwich takes inspiration from a famous marketplace, blending local ingredients with international culinary traditions. The festival aims to recreate the flavours, aromas and character of destinations including Bangkok, Istanbul, Marrakech, London, Barcelona, Kuala Lumpur and Colombo.
One of the highlights is a special collaboration with Chef Seefah, who has created a burger inspired by Bangkok's Chatuchak Market. The dish features a double smash larb moo pork mince patty, nam jim jaew mayonnaise and tom yum fries, reflecting the bold flavours commonly found in Thai street food.
"Every market on this list has a distinct personality. The challenge was to capture that identity in a burger or a pint without losing its essence," said Pankil Shah, Co-Founder of Woodside Inn.
Burgers and Sandwiches Celebrate International Food Cultures
The menu includes a grilled lamb burger inspired by Mumbai's Crawford Market, a beef burger influenced by Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, a chicken burger representing Marrakech's Jemaa El-Fna and a vegetarian burger inspired by Bengaluru's Malleshwaram Market.
Three globally inspired sandwiches also feature on the menu. These include Malaysian-inspired tempeh, Spanish-style fried chicken and a Sri Lankan cheese sandwich served with spiced banana chips.
Craft Beer Collaborations Expand the Experience
The beverage programme introduces six limited-edition craft beers created with breweries from Bengaluru. Each beer reflects the character of a famous marketplace through different brewing styles and ingredients.
Highlights include a yuzu rice lager inspired by Tokyo's Tsukiji Market, a coffee cocoa porter representing London's Borough Market, a saffron witbier influenced by Dubai's Spice Souk and a passionfruit IPA inspired by Melbourne's Queen Victoria Market.
Bazaar Passport Adds an Interactive Element
Guests visiting the festival can collect stamps in a Bazaar Passport while trying different burgers and beers throughout the event. Woodside Inn has also transformed its dining spaces with décor inspired by traditional marketplaces to enhance the dining experience.
"Every burger and brew has been created to capture the spirit of a market through flavour, memories and discovery," said Sumit Gambhir, Co-Founder of Woodside Inn.
Festival Runs Across Mumbai and Bengaluru
The 2026 edition marks the first time the Beer & Burger Festival expands beyond Mumbai, bringing the concept to Bengaluru. The event will run daily from noon until 1 a.m. at Woodside Inn outlets in Colaba, Bandra, Andheri and Indiranagar.
