Ribha Sood has joined the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, as Consultant for BRICS MER, strengthening the ministry’s multilateral engagement framework at a crucial time for India’s global diplomacy.

In her new role, Sood contributes to strategic communications and multilateral outreach within the Multilateral Economic Relations (MER) Division, with a key focus on initiatives linked to India’s BRICS Presidency in 2026. Her responsibilities include supporting coordination, policy inputs, research, and program execution, ensuring alignment with India’s foreign policy priorities and international commitments.

Her role also involved preparing strategic briefs and inputs for senior leadership, supporting both domestic policy development and international engagements.

Earlier in her career, she worked as PR Manager at Pitaara TV, leading communication strategies for its OTT platform Chaupal, and began her professional journey in journalism with Hindustan Times as a correspondent.
