BENGALURU — The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru has appointed Saurav Batabyal as Director of Sales and Marketing. He brings a sales career built across Grand Hyatt, Taj, Le Méridien and one of India's largest convention properties to the role.

In his new role, Batabyal leads the commercial function across the hotel, convention centre and residences at The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru. His focus covers strategic growth, brand visibility, luxury positioning and market expansion across MICE, weddings, corporate and leisure segments.

The property is an integrated luxury development on a 125-acre SEZ in Bhartiya City, combining a five-star hotel, convention centre, residences, dining, retail and entertainment under one address. Running commercial strategy across that scope demands a sales leader with experience in both hotel and large-format event business.

A Career Built Across Grand Hyatt, Taj, Le Méridien and NHCC

Batabyal began his hospitality sales career at Grand Hyatt Mumbai and Taj Mahal Palace, two of Mumbai's most prominent luxury hotel addresses. Those early postings gave him his foundation in luxury sales and large-account management.

He then joined Hyderabad International Convention Centre as Associate Director of Sales. He moved to Le Méridien Hyderabad as Director of Sales before returning to Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and HICC in the same Director of Sales role. His time in Hyderabad's convention circuit gave him deep expertise in MICE, large-scale event business and convention-linked hotel sales.
