MUMBAI, Maharashtra — The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has appointed Swati Thakur as General Manager, Pre-Opening, of The Leela Luxury Residences, Mumbai, placing a 15-year hospitality professional at the helm of the property's launch phase.
Thakur will lead project planning, team development and operational readiness ahead of the property's opening.
Swati Thakur Brings 15 Years of Rooms Division and Operations Experience
Thakur joins The Leela following a tenure as Hotel Manager in Jaipur. Before that, she held key roles with The Indian Hotels Company Limited, including Operations Manager at Taj The Trees Mumbai, Director of Rooms at Taj Lands End Mumbai and Front Office Manager.
Earlier in her career, she spent nearly a decade with Taj Hotels progressing through Assistant Front Office Manager, Duty Manager and Guest Relations Executive positions. She began her hospitality career with Oberoi Hotels and Resorts as a Front Office Assistant.
Pre-Opening Role Covers Operational Frameworks and Team Building
Swati Thakur will establish operational frameworks, build and mentor teams and manage the structured pre-opening process for The Leela Luxury Residences, Mumbai.
Her rooms division background across multiple Taj properties in Mumbai gives her direct market familiarity relevant to the luxury residential hospitality segment the property occupies.
