SENA Autograph Collection Hotel Anaheim California 2029 has been revealed by OCVIBE, with design details released for the 300 plus key property. It will be the first Marriott Autograph Collection hotel in Anaheim. The hotel is a central part of OCVIBE, a privately funded 100 acre real estate district surrounding Honda Center.
SENA Autograph Collection Hotel Anaheim California 2029 Design Team
The hotel is scheduled to open in 2029. WATG, also known as Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo, produced the exterior and landscape architecture. Their design draws on influences from the Santa Ana River and regional daylight conditions. Rockwell Group is responsible for the interior architecture.
Sage Hospitality Group will manage the guest accommodation, meeting facilities and food and beverage venues. The hotel will be tied to the Marriott Bonvoy reservation and loyalty platform. Even so, it has been planned as an independent concept linked to the cultural and sports programming of OCVIBE.
Dining and Amenities at the New Anaheim Hotel
The hotel will feature a signature restaurant run by Chef José Andrés. It will also have an indoor outdoor bar and a circular lobby bar facing South Plaza and Honda Center. A pool area will offer cabanas, fire elements, landscaping and audio facilities. These features make it a standout among luxury hotels in Anaheim.
OCVIBE Masterplan and Phased Delivery
The project sits within a masterplan that will turn land around the indoor arena into a pedestrian friendly commercial and residential area. At full build out, OCVIBE will include three live entertainment venues and more than 2,000 homes. It will also have office space, over 35 food and beverage outlets, 20 acres of civic space and parkland, and three miles of pedestrian paths with public art.
The site is being delivered in phases. The first phase includes office space, a market hall and a concert venue. It is due to open in 2027. SENA will follow in 2029.
Leadership Perspective on SENA
Dan Young, development executive director at OCVIBE, said the partnership of Marriott's Autograph Collection, Rockwell Group, José Andrés Group and Sage Hospitality Group allows the team to create a hotel experience unlike anything else in Orange County. He said SENA will be a destination in its own right. He added that it will also serve as a front door to everything OCVIBE is becoming, where design, dining, hospitality and live experiences come together.
