LVMH Strengthens Industrial Strategy with New CEO for Métiers d’Art
Luxury conglomerate LVMH has appointed Yves Cauchon as the new Chief Executive Officer of Métiers d’Art, reinforcing the group’s commitment to safeguarding craftsmanship and strengthening its industrial capabilities across the luxury value chain.
Cauchon succeeds Matteo De Rosa, who stepped down from the role after serving for four years. The appointment forms part of LVMH’s broader strategy to strengthen its control over production expertise and supply chains that support its global portfolio of luxury brands.
Focus on Craftsmanship and Supply Chain Excellence
Métiers d’Art is the LVMH division responsible for bringing together specialized manufacturers and artisans who provide essential materials and production expertise for the group’s maisons. The platform plays a crucial role in preserving traditional craftsmanship while supporting innovation across luxury product categories.
In his new role, Cauchon will focus on securing supply chains and protecting the artisanal know‑how that underpins the quality and authenticity of LVMH’s luxury products. The division supports sectors ranging from textiles and leather to metalwork and other specialist crafts used in fashion and accessories.
Extensive Experience within the Luxury Group
Cauchon joins the position after serving as Chief Operating Officer at Chloé since 2022. However, much of his career has been spent within the LVMH ecosystem, where he has held several roles related to production, materials development, and supply chain management.
Over the years, he has worked across various brands within the group, including positions overseeing operations and supply chains for labels such as Fendi and Fenty, giving him extensive experience in managing complex luxury manufacturing networks.
Supporting LVMH’s Industrial Vision
As CEO of Métiers d’Art, Cauchon will report to Ludovic Pauchard, LVMH’s Director of Industry and Craftsmanship. The position was created to ensure operational excellence across the group’s production network and strengthen the integration of artisanal expertise within its industrial strategy.
The leadership change reflects LVMH’s long‑term focus on protecting rare materials, specialist workshops, and artisanal skills that are central to the identity and quality of luxury goods produced by the group’s brands.
By reinforcing its industrial capabilities and craftsmanship network, LVMH aims to maintain competitive advantage while supporting creativity and product excellence across its global maisons.
