Accor Signs 250-Key Pullman Hotel & Residences in Egypt’s New Capital
Accor signs a 150-key Pullman hotel with 100 branded residences in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, marking a major hospitality expansion.
Cairo, April 17, 2026 — Accor has signed a new hospitality development in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, introducing a 150-key Pullman hotel alongside 100 branded residences in partnership with Contact Developments, marking the brand’s entry into the country and a significant addition to the city’s emerging urban landscape.
Accor and Contact Developments Sign Mixed-Use Hospitality Project
The agreement establishes Pullman Hotels & Resorts in Egypt for the first time, with the project located on Mohammed Bin Zayed Road overlooking the Green River. Positioned within close proximity to government, business and residential districts, the development is aligned with the New Administrative Capital’s role as a central hub for governance and commerce.
The project combines a five-star hotel and branded residences within high-rise towers, forming a mixed-use destination aimed at serving multiple customer segments including international tourists, corporate travellers, long-stay guests and local residents. The integrated approach is expected to support extended stays and higher visitor spending within the district.
Project Details: 150 Rooms and 100 Branded Residences
The hotel component will include 150 keys comprising guest rooms and suites designed to meet the needs of modern travellers. The property will also feature 100 branded residences, reflecting growing demand for serviced living solutions in Egypt, particularly among expatriates and long-term visitors.
Food and beverage offerings will include two dining venues, consisting of a specialty restaurant and a lobby lounge. These facilities are intended to attract both hotel guests and local residents, contributing to increased on-site activity and reducing reliance on central Cairo for dining and social experiences.
Leisure and wellness amenities will include a spa, fitness centre and swimming pool, supporting a broader hospitality model that integrates accommodation with lifestyle services. The branded residences will provide access to hotel-managed services, catering to a segment seeking residential comfort combined with hospitality standards.
Focus on Business Travel and MICE Demand
The development incorporates dedicated meeting and event spaces designed to cater to conferences, corporate gatherings and government-related functions. This aligns with the New Administrative Capital’s positioning as a decision-making and administrative centre.
The project is expected to benefit from Accor’s global distribution network and business-to-business sales channels, which could drive corporate demand and support year-round occupancy. The Pullman brand, known for targeting business and connected travellers, is positioned to attract international delegates and professionals seeking integrated work and stay environments.
The emphasis on meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) infrastructure is expected to generate consistent demand while supporting surrounding sectors such as transport, retail and local services.
Alignment with Egypt Vision 2030 and Tourism Diversification
The development is aligned with Egypt Vision 2030, which identifies tourism and integrated urban development as key drivers of economic growth. By introducing an internationally recognised hotel brand into the New Administrative Capital, the project contributes to efforts to expand Egypt’s tourism footprint beyond traditional destinations.
Its location near key infrastructure and planned attractions positions the hotel as a base for both business and leisure travellers. The project is expected to support emerging travel patterns, including combined business and leisure trips, as visitors extend their stays across multiple destinations within Egypt.
The New Administrative Capital is being developed as a modern city with government offices, residential zones and commercial districts, and hospitality infrastructure is seen as a critical component in supporting its long-term viability.
Economic Impact and Expansion Strategy
The mixed-use model adopted in the project reflects Accor’s broader strategy of integrating hotels with branded residences. Globally, the group operates around 50 branded residential communities and has more than 125 under development, indicating a continued focus on diversified hospitality assets.
The Pullman New Capital Hotel & Residences is expected to generate direct employment across hotel operations, food and beverage services, wellness facilities and property management. Indirect employment is also anticipated in construction, supply chains and supporting tourism services.
The branded residences are likely to attract international buyers and long-term occupants, contributing to foreign investment and sustained occupancy levels. The project also marks Contact Developments’ entry into the hospitality sector, expanding its portfolio beyond real estate into integrated lifestyle developments.
The signing reflects continued investment interest in Egypt’s hospitality sector, particularly in new urban centres. For Accor, the project strengthens its presence in a growth market and supports its strategy of introducing global brands into emerging destinations through local partnerships.
The development represents a step in establishing international-standard accommodation within the New Administrative Capital, as the city evolves into a key administrative and economic centre in Egypt.
