Andaz Turks and Caicos 2027: Hyatt Moves Opening Up to April 1

Andaz Turks and Caicos 2027 now opens April 1, two months ahead of plan, with 59 rooms, 73 residences and three dining venues on Grace Bay in Providenciales.

On a white beach in Providenciales, rows of loungers wait beside water the colour of glass. Behind the palms, a pale resort rises in terraced layers, with a pool at its heart. The picture is a render, and it shows Andaz Turks and Caicos 2027, a hotel that has taken eight years to move from announcement to opening day.

Caribbean Journal reports that Hyatt has set a new opening date of April 1, 2027. That is two months earlier than the June 1 date reported earlier this year. After several delays, an earlier date is welcome news for those waiting.

The Long Road to Andaz Turks and Caicos 2027

Hyatt first announced the resort in 2018. It was supposed to open in 2021. Construction took longer than expected, and the debut moved several times before building formally launched in 2023.

Earlier this year, Hyatt's booking system pointed to June 1, 2027. Now the date has moved forward to April 1. The report calls it one of the Caribbean's longest awaited luxury hotel projects, and it is now about six months away.

The Andaz Turks and Caicos opening 2027 also carries a distinction. It will be the only Andaz branded resort in the Caribbean. That follows the closure of the former Andaz in Mayakoba last year.

A Small Hotel With Many Homes

The resort sits in the Bight area of Providenciales, with direct access to Grace Bay. Hyatt's current property information lists 59 hotel rooms and 73 residences. Those Andaz Turks and Caicos rooms make it far smaller than some resorts on the island.

The mix of a boutique hotel and a large residential side is becoming common here. Caribbean Journal has followed a surge in residential resort development around Grace Bay and Long Bay. The Andaz Turks and Caicos residences were part of the plan from the start, which means the project anticipated that trend.

For buyers and visitors, the choice is clear. A guest can book a room for a week, while an owner can settle in for longer. Anyone searching for a Grace Bay luxury resort will find that this one blends both.

Dining, Spa and the Reef

The Andaz Turks and Caicos restaurants include three concepts. Tamarà is the signature all day restaurant, mixing global bistro dishes with Caribbean influences. Palmette combines a café, a bodega and a market, and Baie is the poolside restaurant, bar and lounge.

The Andaz Turks and Caicos Runa Spa adds a wellness side, alongside pools, cabanas and a fitness and wellness programme. An Andaz Kids Club is planned for families. Hyatt also highlights reef conservation as part of the guest experience.

The location places guests near Bight Reef, one of the most accessible snorkelling spots on Providenciales. Hyatt lists it at 0.2 miles from the property. A short walk to a reef is a strong selling point for a beach resort.

A Busy Stretch of Providenciales

The island is changing quickly. Earlier this year, it welcomed the new Hotel Indigo Turks and Caicos Grace Bay. Established properties are adding features too, such as a new rooftop restaurant and villa offering at Windsong.

That gives the Turks and Caicos hotel opening 2027 some company. Several Providenciales luxury hotels are competing for the same winter visitors. The Andaz will need to stand out through its small scale and its brand identity.

What the Report Leaves Open

The report gives no room rates and no booking dates for the first guests. It also does not say how many residences are already sold. Readers should confirm details with Hyatt before planning a trip.

The delay history is another reason for care. The opening has moved several times, and dates in a long project can shift again. The April 1 date comes from Hyatt, according to Caribbean Journal.

Travellers can check brand updates on the official Hyatt website. For another story about a fast growing hotel brand on a different continent, see this report on the Spree Hospitality hotel expansion. Both stories show how long a hotel can take to move from plan to reality.

In April the first guests may walk across that white sand, and the years of delay will fade from memory. A beach does not remember waiting. What remains is a door opening on a morning when the water is exactly as blue as promised.
