Asian Square Private Hospitality Limited (ASPHL) has signed its third hotel project in Uttarakhand in March 2026, the company said, as it expands its regional portfolio in northern India to meet rising demand for organized accommodation in key tourism and pilgrimage destinations.

The new hotel agreement marks ASPHL’s continued investment in Uttarakhand, where the company already operates or has projects under development. The latest signing is part of its broader strategy to strengthen its footprint in emerging domestic travel markets.

Project signing and location

ASPHL confirmed that the newly signed hotel will be developed in Uttarakhand, although the exact location and project cost were not disclosed. The company said the property is intended to cater to both leisure tourists and religious travelers visiting the state.

Uttarakhand remains a major tourism hub, attracting visitors to destinations such as hill stations and pilgrimage circuits. Industry participants said demand for branded and organized hotel accommodation has been increasing in the region.

The company stated that the project will be executed in partnership with a local developer, with ASPHL providing operational expertise and brand standards.

Expansion strategy in northern India

ASPHL said the signing aligns with its strategy to expand in high-growth domestic markets, particularly in states with strong tourism inflows. The company has been focusing on tier-two and tier-three destinations where supply gaps exist in quality hotel infrastructure.

Officials noted that Uttarakhand’s year-round tourism demand, driven by religious travel, leisure tourism and seasonal visitors, makes it a priority market for expansion.

The company added that it is evaluating additional opportunities in similar destinations across northern India.

Planned facilities and operations

The proposed hotel is expected to include guest rooms, food and beverage outlets and basic meeting facilities, according to company officials. Detailed specifications such as room count and design features are expected to be finalized during the project planning phase.

ASPHL said the property will be developed in line with its operational model, which focuses on standardized services and scalable infrastructure suited to regional markets.

Tourism demand and market context

Uttarakhand has seen steady growth in visitor numbers in recent years, supported by improved road connectivity and government initiatives to promote tourism. Industry stakeholders said the demand for organized hospitality services has been rising accordingly.

Hotel developers have increasingly targeted the state for new projects, particularly in locations linked to pilgrimage routes and popular hill destinations.

ASPHL’s latest signing adds to the pipeline of hotel developments aimed at supporting this demand.
