Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the completion of a comprehensive renovation of Hyatt Zilara Cancun, a 310-room adults-only, all-inclusive resort located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone, with the upgraded property officially debuting on May 5, 2026.
The redevelopment introduces redesigned accommodations, refreshed public areas, expanded wellness facilities, and reimagined dining concepts, reinforcing the brand’s positioning within the all-inclusive segment while strengthening its presence in the Cancun market.
Hyatt Zilara Cancun Redesigns 310 Suites with Local Inspiration
All 310 suites at Hyatt Zilara Cancun have undergone a full redesign, incorporating natural materials, regional textures, and a color palette inspired by the surrounding landscape. The interiors draw from the Yucatan Peninsula’s ecological elements, including mangroves, reefs, and native flora.
The updated accommodations feature spacious layouts with views of the Caribbean Sea and include locally influenced artwork and handcrafted detailing. The redesign focuses on creating a balance between comfort and environmental connection, aligning with broader trends in experiential luxury hospitality.
Modernising Hyatt Zilara Cancun’s Public Spaces and Infrastructure
The renovation includes a complete overhaul of public areas and core infrastructure across the resort. Pool and beachfront zones have been reconfigured to improve guest flow and usability, with additions such as enhanced shaded areas, upgraded loungers, and redesigned layouts.
A new dedicated beach zone has also been introduced, offering a quieter and more private environment for guests. These updates aim to enhance both functionality and guest comfort while maintaining the resort’s positioning as an adults-only destination.
Wellness Expansion with Redesigned Zen Spa
As part of the redevelopment, the resort’s wellness offering has been expanded through a redesigned Zen Spa. The facility introduces new treatment programmes focused on holistic wellbeing, incorporating natural ingredients and techniques inspired by regional traditions.
New features include hydrotherapy experiences and customised wellness journeys, allowing guests to tailor treatments based on individual preferences. The updated spa concept aligns with increasing demand for wellness-focused travel experiences within the luxury resort segment.
12 Dining Venues Revamped with New Concepts
All 12 dining venues at the resort have been redesigned, with updated menus and new culinary formats introduced as part of the transformation. Among the additions is Bokeh, a speakeasy-style venue with a capacity of 23 guests, offering a reservation-only experience centred on curated beverages and live music.
Casa Adelita has been introduced as an intimate dining concept with a capacity of 10 guests and a single seating per day, focusing on traditional Yucatecan cuisine delivered through an interactive format. The offering emphasises regional culinary heritage and immersive dining experiences.
The resort has also added Olio D’Olivia, an Italian restaurant operating for lunch and dinner, featuring a menu built around handcrafted pastas, risottos, and dishes inspired by northern Italian cuisine, positioned within a waterfront setting.
Hyatt Expands All-Inclusive Portfolio in Cancun Region
The renovation of Hyatt Zilara Cancun forms part of Hyatt’s broader expansion strategy within its Inclusive Collection portfolio, which currently includes more than 150 resorts and over 55,000 rooms across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.
The company has continued to invest in the Cancun region through multiple developments and upgrades, including recent openings and renovations across its portfolio. According to the company, the updated Hyatt Zilara Cancun is designed to enhance the overall guest experience while maintaining brand consistency within the adults-only, all-inclusive category.
