Gurugram, May 2026: Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has signed a 220-key Gateway hotel in Sector 83, Gurugram, marking its 15th property in Haryana, including six under development. The greenfield project tightens IHCL’s grip on the National Capital Region (NCR), where corporate demand keeps rising.

The hotel will come up in New Gurugram, a micro-market that’s seeing fast infrastructure build-up and steady business inflow. This isn’t a speculative move. It’s a response to real demand already building on the ground.

220-key Gateway hotel planned in New Gurugram

The project will house 220 rooms under the Gateway brand, sitting firmly in the upscale bracket.

It’s built for both business and leisure. But make no mistake, the core bet is corporate demand from the surrounding catchment.

The hotel will include:

  • An all-day dining restaurant
  • A bar
  • A specialty restaurant

These aren’t just guest add-ons. They’re meant to pull in the office crowd nearby.

A fitness centre and swimming pool are also part of the plan. Standard, but expected.

7,000 sq ft banquet space targets MICE and social events

And then comes the events play.

A 7,000 sq. ft. banquet hall is being built to capture meetings, conferences, and social functions.

This is where the real volume sits in NCR.

Hotels here aren’t just selling rooms anymore. They’re selling space. And time.

New Gurugram still lacks enough organised event venues. IHCL is stepping in early to fill that gap.

Strategic location in a growing commercial hub

Sector 83 sits right inside the New Gurugram growth belt.

Corporate offices are spreading out. Residential projects are catching up. Roads and connectivity are improving.

And hospitality demand is following that shift.

IHCL is betting on this decentralisation, where business travel is no longer locked to old city centres.

Financial services, IT, and ITeS companies are driving this movement. And they need rooms close to work.

Partnership supports local development ecosystem

The project is being developed with Orris Group, led by Vijay Gupta and Amit Gupta.

This kind of partnership is becoming standard.

Hotel brands bring the name. Developers bring the land and local play.

Together, they move faster.

The partners say the project is aligned with how the area is growing—commercially and socially.

IHCL expands Haryana portfolio to 15 hotels

With this signing, IHCL’s Haryana count moves to 15 hotels, with six still under development.

That’s not casual expansion. That’s a clear cluster strategy.

Haryana, especially Gurugram, remains a priority because of its direct link to NCR demand.

And this Gateway project fits right into that plan, full-service hotels in high-growth corridors, built to capture business before the market gets crowded.

Because in Gurugram right now, waiting is not an option.
