IHM Ranchi Ranked 3rd, Wins CSR Top Hotel Institute Award 2026

New Delhi, May 2026: In a year when hotel schools are under pressure to prove real placement muscle, IHM Ranchi has landed a top industry nod, winning the “CSR Top Hotel Management Institute of India Award 2026” and ranking third nationwide in the latest survey.

The recognition was conferred by Competition Success Review (CSR) at an awards ceremony held at Le Méridien New Delhi on May 17, 2026. The annual survey tracks hotel management institutes on hard metrics, admissions, placements, faculty strength, infrastructure, and industry perception.

According to the CSR Ranking Survey 2026, IHM Ranchi secured the third position among hotel management institutes across India. The ranking isn’t just optics. It’s built on core performance indicators, admission quality, placement outcomes, faculty standards, infrastructure, academic innovation, and how the industry actually views the institute. That mix matters. Because in hospitality education, reputation without placements doesn’t hold.

Only government-run institute of its kind in Jharkhand

IHM Ranchi remains the only government-run hotel management institute in Jharkhand. Over time, it has carved out a role as a steady pipeline for trained hospitality talent, offering undergraduate programmes in Hospitality and Hotel Administration along with short-term professional courses. But the edge comes from its practical setup. Students don’t just sit in classrooms, they get hands-on exposure to real hotel operations. And that shows up in placements. Graduates continue to land roles across major hotel brands and service companies in India, reinforcing the institute’s employability track record.

Multiple awards and consistent national recognition

This isn’t a one-off win. The institute has now secured the CSR Top Hotel Management Institute Award four years in a row, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026. It was also ranked first in the “Best Emerging College” category in the India Today Annual Ranking Survey for both 2024 and 2025, and featured in the GHRDC Ranking Survey 2025 among top government hotel management institutes in Eastern and Central India. That consistency signals something simple: steady upgrades across academics, infrastructure, and industry ties.

Focus on regional culinary heritage and skill development

IHM Ranchi has also pushed beyond textbooks. The institute has actively promoted Jharkhand’s regional cuisine on national and international platforms, earning entries in the India Book of Records in 2022 and 2023. It’s a niche move, but a smart one.
