Man Allegedly Drugged and Robbed at Zirakpur Hotel

A case has been registered and police are conducting a search after a youth was allegedly drugged and robbed at a hotel situated on the Zirakpur‑Panchkula Road in Punjab. 

Incident Details

According to the police complaint, the victim had been in contact with a woman through a dating app and agreed to meet her in person. The pair met at the hotel on February 5, with the victim booking a room around 5:30 pm.

Allegation of Drugging and Theft

The victim reported falling into a deep sleep during the night and waking up the next morning to find the woman gone along with several of his valuables. Stolen items reportedly included two high‑end mobile phones, gold jewellery, and around ₹45,000 in cash.

Police Action and Investigation

Zirakpur police reviewed CCTV footage, which showed the woman leaving the hotel early in the morning carrying the victim’s belongings. She has been identified by authorities as Usha alias Neetika, reportedly from Panipat in Haryana, and a search is underway to locate her.

Incidents involving alleged scams or thefts connected to online meetings highlight the importance of caution when interacting with strangers and meeting them in private settings. Law enforcement continues to urge the public to report suspicious behaviour and exercise safety precautions.
