The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie and The Ivy Asia Glasgow Opening 2026 is set for October 20, when The Ivy Collection welcomes its first guests to a new Glasgow venue. The relocated Ivy Glasgow Brasserie will sit alongside the first Scottish outpost of The Ivy Asia. Both restaurants will occupy a renovated former Clydesdale Bank building at 30 to 40 St Vincent Place.
The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie and The Ivy Asia Glasgow Opening 2026 Details
The development provides 265 covers across the two concepts. The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie has 175 covers, while The Ivy Asia Glasgow has 90. The project is also expected to create 90 jobs. The brasserie is moving from its existing site on Buchanan Street.
The move marks a new chapter for the brasserie. It also introduces the pan Asian dining concept of The Ivy Asia to Scotland for the first time. The project is a significant expansion of The Ivy Collection's presence in the city.
A Grade A Listed Former Banking Hall
The restaurants are housed in a Grade A listed building from the 1870s. It was built as the City of Glasgow Bank and designed by Scottish architect John Burnet Senior. The property is known for its grand banking hall, ornate detailing and prominent glass dome. This makes it one of the most distinctive historic building restaurant renovation projects in the city.
The redevelopment keeps key historic features. It also adds the interiors associated with The Ivy Collection. Adam Ellis, the collection's interior collaborator and art consultant, oversaw the design. He developed bespoke artwork and design elements for both restaurants.
Two Contrasting Interiors
At The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie, the glass dome is the centre of the dining room. It lets natural light fill the space. A statement tree rises above the central bar. Architectural columns, bespoke artwork and richly upholstered seating complete the look.
The Ivy Asia Glasgow offers a contrasting setting. It has illuminated jade coloured flooring and gilded ceilings. Bamboo inspired detailing, cherry blossom trees, decorative lanterns and velvet furnishings add to the mood.
Menus and Dining Experience
The Ivy Asia is known for Asian flavours, sushi and signature dishes. Cocktails and theatrical interiors create an immersive meal. The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie will continue its all day offer. It serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks.
Olivia Wong, senior general manager at The Ivy Glasgow, called the move an exciting new chapter. She said the team wanted to make the most of the building's original character. She added that the venue will suit everyday dining, special occasions and guests trying The Ivy Asia for the first time.
