McDonald's India introduces Fam Fries

The newly introduced Fam Fries offers a larger serving created for sharing during family meals and group outings. The launch reflects changing consumer preferences for shareable menu options while reinforcing fries as a core part of the McDonald's dining experience.

McDonald's India said its fries continue to be prepared using 100% locally sourced potatoes and contain no artificial colours or artificial flavours.

Three decades of McDonald's fries in India

McDonald's introduced its World Famous Fries in India in 1996. Over the years, the product has evolved with several local innovations while maintaining its signature taste and texture.

Key milestones include the launch of the Piri Piri Spice Mix in 2012, giving customers a flavour-packed seasoning option, and a sodium reduction initiative introduced in 2016 without changing the product's taste profile.

Local sourcing remains central to the menu

Westlife Foodworld continues to source potatoes locally for its restaurants across West and South India, supporting domestic agricultural supply chains while maintaining quality standards across its operations.

The company says the popularity of its fries has made them more than a side dish, becoming one of the brand's most frequently ordered menu items over the past three decades.

International Fries Day highlights customer favourites

The International Fries Day campaign celebrates customer nostalgia while introducing new reasons to enjoy the brand's signature fries. Fam Fries is now available for a limited period across participating McDonald's India (West & South) restaurants.
