LONDON, May 30, 2026 — Papa Johns is bringing Pizza Planet, the fictional sci-fi pizza arcade first seen in Pixar's 1995 film Toy Story, to life as a real, walk-in pop-up experience in London on June 13 and 14, 2026, as part of a global campaign timed to the theatrical release of Toy Story 5 on June 19.

The London location at 471-473 The Arches, Dereham Place, London EC2A 3HJ, opens from noon to 8 p.m. on both days. The event requires timed-entry tickets, available through Eventbrite. The campaign also covers Los Angeles, Seoul and Madrid, making this the first time the Toy Story franchise has partnered with a pizza brand for a theatrical film release.

Pizza Planet Pop-Up London: What Fans Can Expect Inside

Papa Johns designed the four international Pizza Planet pop-ups as retro-style pizza arcades that draw directly from the original film setting. Pizza Planet first appeared in Toy Story when the main characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear visit the restaurant's claw machine, in one of the film's most memorable sequences.

Each venue features themed décor, arcade games, Easter eggs referencing the new film and exclusive merchandise. Giveaways from brands including adidas and Belkin are also part of the activation. Three limited-edition Toy Story 5 pizzas are available at the pop-ups: Space Ranger Roni, Sheriff's Roundup and Reach for the Pie.

Jenna Bromberg, Chief Marketing Officer at Papa Johns, said the campaign draws on the overlap between pizza nights and movie nights that has defined the franchise's audience for three decades. She added that bringing Pizza Planet to life allows the brand to celebrate those shared moments through something familiar and fun.

Chris Lyn-Sue, Senior Vice President and General Manager of International at Papa Johns, noted that Toy Story has spanned generations and holds a place in audiences worldwide much like pizza does around the table. He said the activation gives both longtime and new fans the chance to sit down, eat great pizza and make new memories together.

Disney and Pixar Collaboration Marks First Toy Story Pizza Brand Partnership

Lylle Breier, Executive Vice President of Partnerships and Events at The Walt Disney Studios, confirmed the collaboration in a statement released May 27. She said the campaign gives fans a chance to step inside the Toy Story world and create new memories at a time when excitement for the fifth film is building.

Toy Story 5 centers on Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack) and the rest of the gang facing a new challenge when their child, Bonnie, receives a tablet device named Lilypad (voiced by Greta Lee) that disrupts their roles in her life. The film is directed by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris and produced by Lindsey Collins. Oscar winner Randy Newman returns to score his fifth Toy Story feature. The film carries a PG rating.

London Dates Are Limited — Tickets Required

The London pop-up runs for just two days, June 13 and 14, putting significant pressure on fans who want to attend. Timed tickets must be reserved in advance through Eventbrite. The Los Angeles event on June 12 operates on the same reservation system, while Seoul (June 12-14) and Madrid (June 16-21) allow walk-up entry without tickets.

Madrid receives the most generous window of access, with six days of operation running until midnight each night. London's two-day, timed-entry format is the most restricted of the four international venues.

Papa Johns is the world's third-largest pizza delivery company with more than 6,000 restaurants across approximately 50 countries and territories.
