The Restaurant War Season 3 Returns to Spotlight Thailand’s Street Chefs
Netflix has launched Season 3 of The Restaurant War, bringing together 21 street food vendors from across Thailand to compete for a 1 million baht prize under the guidance of three renowned chefs.
Netflix has premiered the third season of The Restaurant War, bringing back its street food competition that features vendors from across Thailand competing for a grand prize of 1 million baht. The latest season, which began streaming earlier this month, introduces 21 contestants selected from an initial group of street food operators showcasing their signature dishes during the opening round.
Street Food Competition Returns for Third Season
The Restaurant War follows a familiar competition format that has made it one of Netflix's most popular locally produced culinary series. Street food vendors from different parts of Thailand compete through a series of cooking challenges, with only the strongest contestants advancing through each stage.
The first episode narrowed the field to 21 competitors after participants presented their signature dishes before the judging panel. Contestants include experienced street food vendors, several previous cooking competition winners and operators with decades of culinary experience.
The winner of Season 3 will receive a cash prize of 1 million baht.
Three Celebrity Chefs Lead Competing Teams
The competition continues with three colour-coded teams—Purple, Green and Orange—each guided by a well-known chef mentor.
The Purple Team is led by Chef Pichaya "Pam" Soontornyanakij, who earned the World's Best Female Chef 2025 and Asia's Best Female Chef 2024 titles. She also coached the winning contestant during the show's second season.
The Green Team is supervised by Chef Thitid "Ton" Tassanakajohn, who operates Thailand's only two Michelin-starred restaurants and previously led the winning team during the inaugural season.
The Orange Team is headed by Chef Supamongkol "Art" Supapipat, recognised as one of Thailand's pioneers of the chef's table dining concept.
Competition Aims to Crown 'Street King Thailand'
Chef Willment Leong returns as the programme's headmaster, overseeing the competition as contestants work toward earning the title of "Street King Thailand."
According to the programme, the latest season aims to showcase the diversity and quality of Thailand's street food culture while introducing local culinary talent to a broader international audience through Netflix.
The contestant lineup includes vendors representing different regions of Thailand, creating a mix of traditional cooking styles, regional specialties and established street food businesses.
Experienced Vendors Join This Year's Contest
This season features several street food operators who have previously received awards from other television cooking competitions. Others bring decades of experience serving customers in local markets and food districts, creating a diverse field of competitors.
The combination of experienced vendors and award-winning participants is expected to add another level of competition as the series progresses through its weekly challenges.
New Episodes Stream Weekly on Netflix
Following the season premiere earlier this month, new episodes of The Restaurant War Season 3 are released every Sunday on Netflix. The series continues to focus on Thailand's street food culture while providing contestants with an opportunity to compete for national recognition and the 1 million baht grand prize.
