Curtis Potter joins Delta Hotels by Marriott Edmonton as Dual General Manager, bringing 15 years of Marriott International operations experience in Alberta.

EDMONTON — Delta Hotels by Marriott Edmonton Centre Suites and Delta Hotels by Marriott Edmonton South Conference Centre have appointed Curtis Potter as Dual General Manager, effective June 7. Tim Reardon, Regional Vice President of Western Canada at Marriott International, announced the appointment.

In his new role, Potter leads operations, commercial performance and team leadership across both Delta Hotels Edmonton Centre Suites and Delta Hotels Edmonton South Conference Centre. The two properties serve different segments. Centre Suites sits in downtown's ICE District, close to Rogers Place and West Edmonton Mall, with over 100 suites and 10,000 sq ft of event space. South Conference Centre is near South Edmonton Common with Aurora Lounge, indoor pool and large-scale conference facilities.
Potter brings over 15 years of Marriott International experience to the role. He is known for a people-first leadership approach with a focus on talent development and succession planning.
Most Recently Director of Operations at JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District
Curtis Potter joins from JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District, where he served as Director of Operations. He held that role for over two years, having previously progressed through Senior Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager at the same luxury property since 2021. That internal progression at JW Marriott Edmonton over more than five years reflects strong operational delivery at one of the city's most prominent luxury hotels.
A Career Built Across Alberta and British Columbia in Rooms and Operations
Before JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District, Potter served as Director of Rooms at Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort in Kelowna, British Columbia. That posting gave him his first director-level experience in rooms leadership at a Delta Hotels property directly relevant to his new dual General Manager role.
Curtis potter also spent close to six years with Marriott International's Continent Lodging Services organisation as Rooms Manager, Operations Support Resources for the Americas. That corporate role involved supporting properties across the continent with operational expertise and rooms management frameworks, a different challenge from being based at a single hotel, and one that builds a broad understanding of how Marriott's operating standards work across different markets and property types.
His on-property career in Alberta started at Edmonton Marriott at River Cree Resort, where he progressed from Assistant Operations Manager in Front Office to Operations Manager for Rooms and Housekeeping. Potter holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy from MacEwan University.
