MUMBAI — The Orchid Hotel Mumbai has appointed Gaurav Shiva as General Manager, placing a hospitality professional with nearly three decades of experience across hotel operations, culinary, food and beverage, sales and business management at the helm of the property.
Shiva joins from Royal Orchid Hotels and Accor, where he held General Manager and General Manager Delegate roles.
Gaurav Shiva Brings 29 Years of Hospitality Experience to The Orchid Mumbai
Shiva began his career with the Taj Group of Hotels after graduating from the Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad. His early career included international assignments with Carnival Cruise Lines in the United States and at Georges Blanc restaurant in France.
He has since held leadership roles with Carlson Hotels and Resorts, Accor Hotels and Royal Orchid Hotels, covering hotel openings, food and beverage, sales and general management functions.
Career Spans Hotel Openings and Multi-City Operations
Shiva was involved in the launch of Radisson Resort and Spa, Alibaug, and has held leadership assignments across Bengaluru, Mysore, Goa and Chennai.
His background spans both operational and commercial functions, giving him working knowledge across multiple departments and market types within the hospitality sector.
