BENGALURU — Novotel Ibis Bengaluru Outer Ring Road has promoted Harsh Kumar to Banquet Manager, recognising a career that has moved consistently upward within the property's F&B team across three internal roles over close to three and a half years.

In his elevated role, Kumar oversees large-scale food and beverage operations, banquet execution and event guest experiences at the dual-branded Novotel and ibis Bengaluru Outer Ring Road complex near Marathahalli, a 376-key property that serves a consistent mix of corporate, MICE and social events in one of Bengaluru's busiest business corridors.
Kumar credited Area General Manager Sandeep Johri for mentorship and guidance throughout his growth journey at the property.
Three Internal Promotions Within the Same Property
Harsh Kumar joined the Novotel Ibis Bengaluru Outer Ring Road team in 2022 as Assistant Restaurant Manager. He was promoted to Outlet Manager within 16 months and has now moved again to Banquet Manager. Three internal step-ups at the same dual-brand property within three and a half years is an unusual track record. Each promotion came with different operational demands, and he has met them consistently.
A Career Across Fairmont, The Leela and Fortune Park Before Bengaluru
Before joining the Accor property, Harsh Kumar spent nearly three years as Food and Beverage Supervisor at Fairmont Jaipur, building his luxury F&B foundation at one of Rajasthan's most recognised five-star hotels. He then served as Food and Beverage Supervisor at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel and Residences, handling both floor and bar responsibilities at a premium NCR address.
His hospitality career started at Fortune Park Hotels in Indore as a Guest Service Associate, followed by an IHM education. He holds a BSc in Hospitality Administration from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition.
