Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll has announced two new additions to its leadership team, further emphasising its dedication to providing exceptional experiences for guests. The luxury resort, located in Baa Atoll within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, welcomes Bernard Prim as Executive Chef and Priyanka Sarkar as Marketing Communications Manager.

Bernard Prim, a seasoned culinary leader with German and Mexican heritage, brings extensive expertise, creativity, and a passion for food. His diverse culinary journey spans multiple continents and cultures, making him a valuable addition to the resort’s dining experiences. Drawing inspiration from farm-to-table and ocean-to-table concepts, particularly in the Maldives where local fishermen supply fresh catches, Bernard excels in blending global flavours and techniques. His career includes roles at renowned establishments such as Banyan Tree Resort in the UAE, AMAN and Nihi Resorts in Indonesia, Villa Treville in Italy, ALILA Villas in Cambodia, La Samanna by Belmond in St. Martin, and Viceroy Los Cabos in Mexico.

Priyanka Sarkar joins the team with extensive experience in hospitality and communications. Holding postgraduate and undergraduate degrees in Mass Communication and Journalism, she has previously served as Marketing Communications Manager at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives. Her career also includes roles such as PR & MarCom Manager at The Grand New Delhi and Account Manager for luxury clients at Saints Art Pvt. Ltd. With expertise in storytelling and marketing content, Priyanka will collaborate with the assistant director of branding and marketing to lead marketing and public relations strategies. She aims to uphold the resort’s reputation for luxury and personalised service while introducing innovative initiatives to enhance guest experiences.

Steven Phillips, General Manager of Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives, expressed confidence in the new team members, stating that their expertise will elevate the brand and enhance guest experiences.
