Shamoyel Ozair elevated to Associate Director of Rooms and Sustainability at Fairmont Mumbai and Roswyn with 16 years in luxury hospitality.
MUMBAI, Maharashtra — Fairmont Mumbai has elevated Shamoyel Ozair to Associate Director of Rooms and Sustainability, expanding his responsibilities to cover both Fairmont Mumbai and Roswyn, A Morgans Originals Hotel.
Ozair has been part of the Fairmont Mumbai team since its pre-opening phase and previously served as Director of Housekeeping and Sustainability at the property.
Shamoyel Ozair Brings 16 Years of Luxury Rooms and Sustainability Experience
Ozair's career includes over seven years at Fairmont Jaipur, where he progressed from Assistant Housekeeping Manager to Executive Housekeeper, managing large-scale operations and sustainability programmes. He has also held key roles at The Leela Mumbai and The Leela Palace New Delhi.
He was part of the pre-opening teams at Raffles Udaipur, Raffles Jaipur and Fairmont Mumbai, giving him direct experience across multiple luxury hotel launches.
Industry Awards Recognise His Contribution to Housekeeping Leadership
Shamoyel Ozair received the Housekeeping Person of the Year at the Accor India Hotel Awards 2018, Executive Housekeeper of the Year — North at the IHE Excellence Awards 2020 and was named Runner-Up at the BW Hotelier Awards 2023.
New Role Covers Rooms, ESG and Brand Standards Across Two Properties
In his expanded role, Ozair will oversee rooms division operations, housekeeping, laundry, guest service standards and sustainability initiatives across both properties. He will also lead ESG goals, operational efficiency and luxury brand standard compliance.
