Abhishek Kukreti, General Manager of Hilton Garden Inn Jabalpur, has been nominated for India’s 50 Best General Managers 2026, recognising his leadership in hotel operations and commercial performance. The nomination was announced in April 2026 as part of the ongoing selection process by Hospitality Career Profile.

Nomination and Current Role

The nomination acknowledges Kukreti’s current role as General Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Jabalpur, where he has been serving since October 2025. The property operates under Hilton Worldwide in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

According to the company, he is responsible for overseeing overall hotel operations, including financial performance, guest service delivery and departmental coordination.

Operational Responsibilities and Scope

Kukreti manages budgeting, forecasting and profit and loss performance, ensuring alignment with business targets and ownership expectations. His role includes supervising food and beverage operations, rooms division, safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

The company said he also leads talent management initiatives, staff training programmes and operational planning to maintain service standards and operational efficiency.

Career Progression within Hilton

Prior to his current role, Kukreti served as Director of Operations at Hilton Jaipur from January 2025 to September 2025 and as General Manager (Deputation) at Hilton New Delhi between August 2024 and January 2025.

He also held the position of Operations Manager at Hilton Jaipur from September 2023 to July 2024 and completed the SHINE leadership development programme for hotel managers in 2023.

Industry Experience and Functional Expertise

Kukreti has over 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with expertise across culinary operations, food and beverage management, commercial strategy and asset management. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Chef with Hilton properties in Jaipur and Agra.

He also worked with Marriott International in Visakhapatnam and Bhopal, Radisson Blu Haridwar and Lemon Tree Hotels, handling food and beverage operations and pre-opening responsibilities.

Early Career and Education

Kukreti began his career in culinary roles, including positions with ITC Welcomgroup, InterContinental and Le Royal Meridien. He also worked as a chef with Carnival Corporation in the United States and as a hospitality consultant in India.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from the Institute of Hotel Management, Bangalore, the company said. The India’s 50 Best General Managers 2026 awards are currently in the nomination stage, with evaluation ongoing.
