IHCL Signs 350-Room Gateway Hotel in Hennur Bengaluru to Capitalise on Suburban Growth

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has signed a new Gateway hotel in Hennur, Bengaluru, marking a strategic greenfield expansion in one of the city’s fastest-growing suburban corridors.

The 350-key property, expected to meet increasing demand from business and leisure travellers alike, reflects IHCL’s continued commitment to deepen its presence in southern India’s largest IT and commercial hub.

According to the company’s real estate leadership, the decision to invest in Hennur follows significant infrastructure development and economic growth in North Bengaluru, driven by sectors including technology, aerospace and education. The location also offers enhanced connectivity to major employment centres and the international airport.

Gateway Hennur is designed to provide a modern hospitality experience with a suite of amenities aligned to both corporate and social event requirements. Dining options will include an all-day restaurant, a stylish bar, a specialty restaurant and a lounge space catering to diverse guest preferences.

For business and events, the hotel will offer over 16,000 square feet of banqueting and conference space alongside state-of-the-art meeting facilities, positioning the property to attract conferences, social celebrations and premium gatherings.

Wellness and leisure facilities are central to the guest experience, with plans for a fully equipped gym, health club, swimming pool and dedicated treatment rooms focused on guest relaxation and wellbeing.

The project is being developed in partnership with long-term collaborator Billore Ventures, with leadership expressing satisfaction at extending their association under the Gateway brand.

With this signing, IHCL’s portfolio in Bengaluru will grow to 20 hotels, including 11 properties currently under development, underscoring the company’s long-term confidence in the city’s hospitality demand and its broader market strategy.
