ANA Holiday Inn opens two new full-service hotels in Kobe Sanda and Tosu, expanding IHG’s hospitality presence in Japan.
ANA Holiday Inn has strengthened its presence in Japan with the opening of two new full-service hotels in Kobe Sanda and Tosu, marking another milestone for IHG Hotels & Resorts in the Asia Pacific region.
The back-to-back launches of ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda and ANA Holiday Inn Tosu introduce the first international full-service hotels to their respective cities.
Operated by Select Hotels Group, both properties reflect IHG’s long-term strategy to expand internationally recognized hospitality brands into emerging Japanese destinations.
ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda officially welcomed guests on April 27, 2026, followed by the opening of ANA Holiday Inn Tosu on April 28, 2026.
Located in Hyogo Prefecture, ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda is positioned within the hillside surroundings of Sanda City.
The property offers convenient access to Kobe and Osaka while also connecting travelers to attractions including Kobe Sanda Premium Outlet and Hokusettsu Sanda Technopark.
The hotel features 130 guestrooms, ranging from standard doubles to spacious twin rooms and a traditional Japanese-style room with tatami flooring.
IHG noted that the property’s open lobby concept creates flexible spaces for guests to work, dine, relax, and socialize throughout the day.
Meanwhile, ANA Holiday Inn Tosu strengthens the Holiday Inn brand’s footprint in Kyushu.
Located near the major transportation hub of Tosu Junction, the hotel offers seamless connectivity across the island region.
The property is approximately 40 minutes from Fukuoka Airport and five minutes from JR Tosu Station.
ANA Holiday Inn Tosu includes 127 guestrooms and suites designed for solo travelers, business guests, and families.
Hospitality analysts note that secondary Japanese cities are increasingly attracting international hotel investment due to improved transportation networks and growing domestic tourism demand.
Both hotels feature Apple Road, the signature dining concept serving locally sourced and international cuisine throughout the day.
The properties also include six flexible meeting and event spaces capable of hosting up to 250 guests.
ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda and ANA Holiday Inn Tosu continue Holiday Inn’s family-focused hospitality approach through the global Kids Stay & Eat Free program.
Children aged 12 and under can stay and dine without additional charges, helping attract family travelers exploring Japan.
Industry experts observe that Japan’s hospitality sector continues seeing strong expansion beyond major tourism centers like Tokyo and Osaka.
International hotel operators are increasingly targeting regional cities where infrastructure growth and tourism diversification create new opportunities.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has accelerated expansion across Japan in recent years with openings spanning both leisure and business destinations.
The launch of ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda and ANA Holiday Inn Tosu follows the brand’s recent growth in destinations including Sapporo and Karuizawa.
According to hospitality industry observers, the expansion reflects rising demand for globally recognized hotel brands offering reliable service standards in regional Japanese markets.
Both properties strengthen IHG’s Essentials portfolio while reinforcing Holiday Inn’s legacy of accessible, family-friendly, and full-service hospitality.
As Japan continues attracting domestic and international travelers, hotel brands expanding into regional destinations are expected to play a major role in the country’s evolving tourism landscape.
